Phoenix Recover Pro 6.0.0 Release notes ======================================================================= Phoenix Recover Pro lets user create: - Quick Backup -- for restoring the hard disk to a previous point in time - File Backup -- for retrieving previous versions of individual files that have been changed or deleted - Complete Backup -- for restoring every file on the hard disk from a backup Phoenix Recover Pro Manufacturing edition also provides Factory Backup -- for restoring every file on the hard disk from a backup created when the computer was manufactured. ======================================================================= Related Documentation: - Phoenix Recover Pro User Guide ======================================================================= Recent changes: 6.0.0.52 (2006-02-22): - Include non-Windows partitions when estimating space requirement for Complete Backup - Fix display layout problem when the history of recent Complete Backups include long path names - Fix handling of network drive mapping that includes folder name(s) - If Quick backup is configured to protect only System Drive (Partition), changing other drives (partitions) by non-Windows applications should not cause Recover Pro to remove existing Quick Backups 6.0.0 (2005-12-14): - Add File Backup feature - For Quick Backup feature, add option to protect only System Partition (instead of entire hard disk) - Complete Backup can be stored on IDE, SATA, USB and network drives (in addition to Phoenix Protected Area) - Recovery disks (created from Complete Backup) can boot from USB CD/DVD drive (in addition to ATAPI CD/DVD drive) - Support RAID 0, 1 ======================================================================= Known Issues: - If a network drive is no longer connected during the most recent invocation from Windows GUI to Complete Backup or Restore, backups stored on such network drives won’t be accessible for Complete Restore. - Does not support non-English characters in the installation folder path. ======================================================================= Accessing Complete Backup on network drive: When specifying the Complete Backup file(s) on a network drive, Recover Pro uses drive letters assigned by Windows to connected network drives. The list of connected network drives is automatically recorded/updated each time user chooses Complete Backup or Complete Restore from Recover Pro's Windows user interface. If accessing a network drive in Windows requires user to enter a password, that network drive is treated as disconnected unless user enters the required password to explicitly connect the network drive before invoking Complete Backup or Complete Restore in Windows. If a network drive is disconnected before the most recent invocation of Complete Backup or Complete Restore, backups stored on that network drive will not be accessible for Complete Restore. If a network drive is disconnected after the most recent invocation of Complete Backup or Complete Restore, drive letter of that network drive is still recognized by Recover Pro for Complete Restore. ======================================================================= Supported installation options in RPro\RProWin\OemInstall\AutoStp.ini: [SETUP] AutoSetup=TRUE ; Configure installation according to AutoStp.ini options.
