Mr. Lacey joined Phoenix as the President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors, in February 2010. Prior to joining the Company, he served as Corporate Vice President and General Manager of Applied Materials’ SunFab Thin Film Solar Products since 2009, where he was responsible for all aspects of the turnkey solar thin-film production business. Prior to Applied Materials, from 2006 to 2007, Mr. Lacey was President of Flextronics International’s Components Group, an 8,000 employee division that designs and sells display, power system and camera cell phone modules. Mr. Lacey joined Flextronics in connection with the successful $300 million sale to Flextronics of International Display Works (IDW), a developer of LCD displays, where he served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer from 2004 to 2006. While at IDW, Mr. Lacey drove significant revenue and profitability growth and increased the market capitalization of IDW by approximately 6 times following a successful listing on NASDAQ.
Prior to IDW, Mr. Lacey had a distinguished 13 year career at Intel Corporation, where he held various management and executive positions of increasing responsibility, including Vice President Sales and Marketing, President of Intel Americas, where he was responsible for over $12 billion in sales and managed Dell, IBM, HP, Cisco Systems, Motorola and other critical accounts. In his last year at Intel, as Vice President and General Manager, Flash Products, Mr. Lacey grew revenues by $500 million to $2.3 billion with customers such as Samsung, Sony, Nokia, Motorola and others.
Dr. Gaurav Banga
Chief Technology Officer and Head of Products
Dr. Banga is the Chief Technology Officer and Head of Products at Phoenix Technologies. Prior to joining the Company, he was vice president of product management at Intellisync (and at Nokia Corp., after its acquisition of Intellisync), responsible for all client-side products. Before Intellisync, Dr. Banga was co-founder and chief executive officer of PDAapps, the creator of VeriChat, a mobile instant messaging solution. PDAapps was acquired by Intellisync in 2005. From 1998 to 2003, Dr. Banga was a senior engineer at Network Appliance. Dr. Banga holds a B.Tech. in computer science and engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, as well as M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from Rice University.
Timothy Chu
Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary
Timothy Chu is Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary. Prior to Phoenix, Mr. Chu served as Director of Corporate Legal Affairs at Solectron Corporation, a leading global provider of supply chain and electronics manufacturing solutions, where he was responsible for corporate governance and securities matters and all acquisition, divestiture and other corporate transactions. Prior to Solectron, he was a Senior Attorney at Venture Law Group, where he represented numerous Silicon Valley technology companies and was a member of the firm's mergers and acquisitions group. Mr. Chu began his legal career as an associate in the New York and Helsinki offices of White & Case LLP, where he focused on banking, public offering and private placement transactions. He received his B.A. in Economics and Chinese Language and Literature from the University of Michigan and his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.
David Gibbs
Senior Vice President and General Manager, Worldwide Field Operations
Mr. Dave Gibbs is Senior Vice President and General Manager of Worldwide Field Operations at Phoenix. Prior to Phoenix, Mr. Gibbs served as Vice president, sales and Asia Pacific strategic accounts manager at FlashPoint Technologies, a company that provides embedded software solutions. Before FlashPoint, Mr. Gibbs was vice president of sales at DocuMagix, Inc. and he also held a number of executive sales and business development positions at Insignia Solutions. Mr. Gibbs holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of California at Los Angeles.

Robert Andersen
Interim CFO and VP, Finance
Mr. Andersen is Vice President of Finance, responsible for controllership, financial planning, external reporting, and tax. He is a member of the SOX 404, Pricing, and IT Steering committees. Prior to joining Phoenix, Mr. Andersen served as Finance Director at Wind River Systems, a world-leading embedded systems software company, where he had financial responsibility for the $200M VxWorks Product Division as well as controller responsibility for the worldwide Sales and Customer Support Organizations. Prior to Wind River, he was the Finance Director at a startup company, NextOffice, Inc. Mr. Andersen began his finance career at Hewlett Packard Company where, during his seven year tenure, he served in various controller, treasury, and technology finance management roles. Mr. Andersen earned his B.A. in Economics from the University of California at Davis, his MBA from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA, and is a Certified Management Accountant.
Surendra Arora
Vice President, Business Development
Mr. Arora is Vice President of Business Development at Phoenix Technologies. He has extensive experience in market and business development both for consumer and enterprise technologies. Most recently, Mr. Arora was Director of Enterprise Solution Sales and World Ahead Program for Intel in South Asia. This sales group influenced over $300 million in revenue and forged alliances with ISVs, SIs, OEMs, and service providers. Prior to the Intel South Asia position, Mr. Arora led the world-wide market development team in Intel, evangelizing Centrino mobile technology in the telecom channel. His team successfully negotiated WiFi and WWAN service bundles with telecom operators worldwide. Mr. Arora holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Rensselaer and an M.B.A from UC Berkeley/London Business School.
Debasish Biswas
Vice President & GM, HyperSpace
Mr. Biswas is Vice President & General Manager of HyperSpace. Mr. Biswas leads all aspects of delivering HyperSpace on leading OEM platforms. He is a seasoned engineering executive with over 20 years’ experience developing networking, communication and security products. Prior to Phoenix, Mr. Biswas lead software development at CloudShield technologies, building security platforms and tools used at major federal networks and leading service providers. Previously, he co-founded Atoga Systems, a company building solutions for the IP+Optical infrastructure market and funded by Sequoia and NEA. Atoga was acquired by Arris (ARRS) – a network equipment manufacturer. Mr. Biswas is credited with building the industry’s first gigabit firewall while at Berkeley Networks, using its innovative silicon products. Berkeley was later acquired by FORE systems (FORE). He has a B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology.
Nick Bonfiglio
Vice President and Chief Information Officer
Mr. Nick Bonfiglio is Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Phoenix. Mr. Bongfolio brings over 18 years of experience in information technologies, engineering and customer service to Phoenix. Prior to Phoenix,, Mr. Bonfiglio served as Executive Vice President of Worldwide Operations for CollabNet, Inc., a leading SaaS provider of Application Lifecycle Development and Management tools. Before CollabNet, he was CIO for ONI Systems, where he spearheaded Global Information Technologies for the company. Mr. Bonfiglio has managed revenue generating data centers for various companies including CollabNet, Portera Systems and The 3DO Company. In addition, he served as Chief Technologist for Lucasfilm where his team and he were at the forefront of developing digital asset management solutions for the film industry during the creation of Star Wars Episode I. Mr. Bonfiglio holds a BS in Business Administration and periodically serves in technical advisory roles to SaaS organizations.
Shauli Chaudhuri

Ms. Shauli Chaudhuri is Vice President of Marketing and Global Communications at Phoenix Technologies. Ms. Chaudhuri has more than 15 years of high tech marketing and strategic communications experience. Prior to Phoenix, she was responsible for Nokia Enterprise Solutions' global marketing strategy in mobility solutions where she led channel and direct marketing efforts as Director of Global Marketing. Before Nokia, she held senior marketing management positions at a number of companies in the telecommunications, security, BI, financial services and mobile/wireless industry. Ms. Chaudhuri holds a B.A. in Economics and M.A. in Communications from Ohio State University, and an M.B.A from California State University, San Jose.
John Correia
Vice President and General Manager, Core Systems Software (BIOS)
Mr. John Correia is Vice President and General Manager of Core Systems Software (BIOS) at Phoenix. Mr. Correia also heads up Worldwide Customer Engineering at the company. Previously, Mr. Correia was Vice President of Strategic Services at Coware, the leading supplier of electronic system-level (ESL) design software and services. At CoWare, Mr. Correia had worldwide responsibility for all strategic consulting services and projects for Tier 1 customers. Prior to his 10-year tenure at CoWare, Mr. Correia was at Core Petrophysics (formerly K&A Laboratories before acquisition by Core Labs) for 12 years with responsibility for special core analyses services. Mr. Correia has a BS in Petroleum Geology from Tulsa University and an MS in Environmental Engineering from Oklahoma State University.
Babak Dehnad
Vice President, Human Resources
Mr. Babak Dehnad is the Vice President of Human Resources at Phoenix Technologies responsible for global HR functions at multiple locations in the US, Taiwan, China, Korea, Japan and India. Mr. Dehnad brings more than 15 years of global HR experience to the Company. Prior to Phoenix, he was Director of HR at MySQL, the leading open source database company. During his tenure, MySQL was acquired by Sun Microsystems for $1B in 2008. Before MySQL, Mr. Dehnad was the Worldwide Director of HR at Taleo Corporation, the leading talent management software company which had a successful IPO in 2005. He also held progressive HR leadership positions at Zambeel and Inovis, both software companies in the Bay Area. Mr. Dehnad received a BS degree in Economics from UC Davis.
Stephen Jones
Vice President and Chief Scientist, Core Systems Software (BIOS)
Mr. Steve Jones is Vice President and Chief Scientist of Core Systems Software (BIOS) at Phoenix Technologies. In this role, Mr. Jones leads Phoenix's SecureCore Tiano technology research and development, and also long-range research in emerging technologies. Prior to Phoenix, Mr. Jones founded General Software and grew it to a $20M business over 19 years, without outside debt or equity financing. General Software engaged manufacturers of electronic devices containing embedded computers, providing them with system software solutions in a wide range of application areas. In 2008, Mr. Jones sold General Software to Phoenix Technologies Ltd. He is a professional technologist, having developed 29 commercial software products. Mr. Jones’ software can be found in computer systems running metro-area networks; routers, gateways and network appliances in enterprise and home networks; cell phones and PDAs; entertainment systems; FlexGo computers; desktop, laptop, server, and ultra mobile PCs; medical equipment; commercial aircraft; the space shuttle, military applications, and embedded devices.
Apu Kumar
Vice President, Worldwide Solution Sales
Mr. Apurva (Apu) Kumar is Vice President of Worldwide Solution Sales. Mr. Kumar and his team are responsible for pre-sales strategy and planning, solution definition and operational execution for the entire portfolio of software applications and online services. Prior to Phoenix, Mr. Kumar directed the software strategy, product planning and online services integration for the “Beyond-The-Box Attach” business unit at Hewlett Packard. Prior to HP, he was part of the core engineering team at mySimon Inc. launching them as the leader in online comparison-shopping and resulting in their successful acquisition by CNET Networks. Mr. Kumar has a Masters degree in Engineering from Stanford University.
Eric Newman
Vice President Sales for Americas/EMEA and World Wide Embedded
Mr. Eric Newman is General Manager and Vice President of Sales for the Americas and EMEA. He also heads up worldwide sales for Phoenix’s Embedded business. Before Phoenix technologies, Mr. Newman was Vice President of WW Sales and Market Development for BDMetrics. Prior to BDMetrics, he has held senior sales and business development positions for both private and public companies in areas such as security, wireless, disaster recovery, and core systems software, including his own company, LawConnect, Inc., which was acquired in 2000 by Sinar Mas Group. Mr. Newman began his career as an attorney in the Bay Area, trying catastrophic injury cases, ultimately making the transition to counsel commercial clients on business issues including intellectual property, contract, ownership, and employment. He holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona.
Kirthiga Reddy
Vice President FailSafe and General Manager of Phoenix India
Ms. Kirthiga Reddy is Vice President FailSafe and General Manager of Phoenix India. Prior to Phoenix, Ms. Reddy was the GM of Motorola Good Technology Group India, where she was responsible for leading the cross-functional Good India team, accelerating new product revenue, and coordinating business and engineering deliverables with global counterparts. Before her move to India, Ms. Reddy was based in Silicon Valley in the role of Director of Product Management for Good Technology. She has also held the position of Director of Engineering at Silicon Graphics, and has worked as an Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton. Ms. Reddy holds an MBA from Stanford University, an M.S. in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University, and a B.E. in Computer Science from Ambedkar University, India.
CT Wang
Vice President Sales and General Manager of the Greater China region
Mr. CT Wang is Vice President Sales & General Manager of the Greater China region. Prior to Phoenix, Mr. Wang has held senior management positions in sales, engineering and marketing for Taiwan, China, Korea and ASEAN countries. Mr. Wang has been involved in the core systems software (BIOS) industry since 1988 and has been actively selling and managing BIOS sales to most local GC customers, such as Acer, Asus, Compal, ECS, Gigabyte, Inventec, Lenovo, Quanta, Wistron. Before Phoenix, Mr. Wang was GM for the Greater China region at American Megatrends, Inc. Prior to AMI, he was VP for business development at Asec Technology and before Asec, he was President/General Manager at Insyde Software. Mr. Wang received an M.S. in Accounting from National Taiwan University, Taiwan, and a B.E. in Computer Science from National Chiao-Tung University, Taiwan.
