Identity theft prevention

Phoenix TrustConnector 2 is easy-to-install device identity software that enables seamless, built-in identification of x86 devices to IP networks while enhancing the protection of digital credentials for Windows applications. If you're the person responsible for securing your company's information resources, ask yourself this question: How important is it to know the identity of every device on your network?

Every time a connection is made to your network, there are really two entities at the endpoint: the user and the device used to access with. Consequently, its imperative to know both your users and your devices. TrustConnector 2 provides strong device identification by creating a unique device identity that cannot be altered or stolen. It safeguards your business against credential sharing and stealing and limits access only to devices which you have granted access permission.

Phoenix extends the trusted computing concept of a chain of trust directly into the Windows operating system. TrustConnector 2 has been implemented as a universal cryptographic service provider (CSP) component for Windows machines that incorporates native platform sensing technology to examine the unique hardware configuration of every x86 system and activate the highest trust level possible for that system. TrustConnector 2 is trusted computing that is effective and affordable.

You can:

  • Improve the effectiveness of existing security infrastructure by incorporating device profile and authentication for VPN, wireless access or SSL-based network connections and certificate-aware applications.
  • Reduce the risk of data and intellectual property theft by protecting the keys for certificate-based applications and binding them to device-specific profiles. In the event that the keys were stolen, they could not work on another device.
  • Leverage your existing security investment because Phoenix TrustConnector 2 is non-disruptive, so it requires minimal changes to your network infrastructure to enable device identification and authentication on the network.
  • Enable device access policy enforcement to reduce the risk of threats and vulnerabilities from unknown devices accessing the enterprise networks and threatening to compromise data and interrupt business operationsts.

Phoenix provides trusted computing. Phoenix Technologies, the worldwide leader in core systems software, provides a powerful software solution to transparently identify the devices as they connect to the network. With TrustConnector 2, authentication can happen at multiple levels at the switch, the application server, or the directory servers. TrustConnector 2 enables the presentation of security status information of the connecting device to the authentication authority, thus making the entire network more secure.
