The board of directors acts as the governing body which safeguards the company’s interests and helps guide its strategic direction while upholding the values and interests of its shareholders and stakeholders.

Gerard Moore

President and Chief Executive Officer

Gerard led the acquisition of Phoenix in 2021. He has over 20 years of experience leading fast-growing international technology businesses. Prior to Phoenix, he was founder and CEO of a number of technology companies including Spectel which was later sold to Avaya, and Shenick Network Systems which was sold to Aeroflex. He holds an electronic engineering degree and an MBA from University College Dublin and a master’s degree in engineering from Trinity College Dublin.

Jonathan O'Connell

Chief Financial Officer

Jonathan has over 25 years’ experience as a CFO in growing international technology and biotech companies including fundraisings, IPOs and trade sales. Prior to Phoenix, he was CFO of a number technology companies including Spectel, which was sold to Avaya, Escher Group, a London listed technology company and Trinity Biotech, a Nasdaq listed company. He is a Chartered accountant and a graduate of business from Trinity College Dublin.

Dwight Huang

Non-executive Director

Dwight joined the Board in 2021. He is Vice President of Product Management and Marketing at FutureDial Inc., a leading provider of mobile device processing solutions. He has also worked in Brand Management at Disney’s home entertainment division and was Producer of software entertainment. Dwight has an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management, and double degrees in Molecular Cell Biology and Environmental Science from the University of California at Berkeley.

Kevin Cooney

Non-executive Director

Kevin joined the Phoenix Board in January 2021. He retired from Xilinx Inc. in early 2020 where he had served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. He was appointed Global CIO in 2004. From 2008-2020 in addition to his CIO role, he also held the position of Managing Director of Xilinx EMEA. Prior to Xilinx, Kevin spent 11 years with DEC (Digital Equipment Corporation) in various IT management positions in Ireland and Scotland. Kevin has served on the Board of Directors of IDA Ireland since June 2018.

Barry Devereux

Non-executive Director

Barry joined the Board in August 2023. He is the Principal of DVRX Advisory. Previously, he was a partner with McCann FitzGerald for 25 years, leading both the Corporate Group and the Corporate Finance Group, ultimately becoming Managing Partner. Prior to that Barry spent 10 years with Clifford Chance, initially working in London before relocating for a number of years to Singapore as its Head of Corporate Finance for South East Asia.
